RESUMO
A partir da concepção sistêmica e dialética da análise ambiental e partindo
do princípio de que os geossistemas, no processo de sua ocupação, visam a formação
de unidades ambientais de maior complexidade, as unidades sócio-ambientais, esta
dissertação visa distinguir, caracterizar e cartografar os geossistemas naturais e o
estado ambiental em que se encontra cada unidade geoecológica, além do uso e
ocupação, do litoral sul do município de Ilhéus-BA, no trecho Cururupe-OlivençaAcuípe, incluindo a identificação e a interpretação dos impactos sobre o processo de
ocupação e seus agentes de alteração e redução da biodiversidade. A partir dos
geossistemas
como
unidades
naturais
integrais,
foi
possível
distinguir
suas
modificações e transformações, resultado das ações dos diferentes tipos de ocupação.
ABSTRACT
Based on a sistemic and dialetic conception of Environmental Analysis and
granting that geossistems, in their process of occupancy, have the purpose to establish
environmental unites of a broader complexity – the social-environmental unites – this
dissertation aims at distinguishing, characterizing and mapping the natural geosystems
and the natural state of every geological unit, and also the use and occupancy of de
South shore of Ilhéus municipality, in the interval Cururupe-Olivença-Acuípe, including
the identification and the interpretation of impacts over the processes of occupancy and
their agents of alteration and reduction of the biodiversity. Considering geosystems as
