SEDES is the doctoral consortium of the Portuguese software engineering students, where they can present
and discuss their thesis work with faculty and peers and network with other researchers in the field. The first
edition of SEDES was part of the 1º Congresso Português de Engenharia de Software, held in Coimbra, in
2004. The second edition was hosted by the 6th International Conference on the Quality of Information and
Communications Technology (QUATIC), in Lisbon, in 2007.
The third edition , SEDES 2009 , is along with ICSEA 2009.
The software-oriented topics to be covered are not restrictive.
