ACADEMIC AND CULTURAL PROJECTS
2010-2014 Music Performance Pedagogy in Brazil: aspects and mobilizations. Concluded research
project. Description: the present project aims to the definition of a body of knowledge applied
as foundations for the teaching of Music Performance. As parallel production, there will be
development of didactic material and its practical application, along with ministry of courses
upon the subject. Total related publications: 42. Associated academic guidances: 1.
2013-2014 Music Group. Concluded extension project. Description: this project aims to form a
permanente musical group from Federal University of Maranhão’s Music course, with flexible
vocal and/or instrumental grouping. The whole transcription, arrangement, rehearsal and
performance work is done by the group, along with musicological research for local and
regional repertoire. The project were supported by Extension Dean with two scholarships,
being concluded in November 2014. The scores and recordings resulted from this project are
available in the following site: http://musica.ufma.br/grupomusical.
2011 Piano Extension Course. Concluded extension project. Description: the present project aims
to perform masterclasses for piano and other keyboard instrument students and players,
through agreement between Maranhão State School of Music and Federal University of
Maranhão. The masterclasses were ministered in an Auditorium with a grand piano, and the
repertoire involved classical and popular piano pieces, being executed from February to
November 2011.
