Ana Miguel 1962, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil e-mail [email protected] Background Took part in the Ingá Engraving Workshops, where she learned from the main printmakers in Rio de Janeiro, from 1979 to 1985. Studied engraving and painting at the Visual Arts School of Lage Park and at the Rio de Janeiro Museum of Modern Art, as well as Art History, with Alair Gomes, from 1981 to 1982. Simultaneously, she studied Contemporary Philosophy and Anthropology at the Fluminense Federal University and at the University of Brasilia. She lived in Barcelona from 1991 to 94, where she studied at the graduate ateliers in Montesquiu. At the Arteleku, San Sebastian, she attended the seminars coordinated by Francisco Jarauta in 1993, 1994 and 1995.
