Daniel Santos
Head of Project Finance in Caixa – Banco de Investimento, S.A. (CaixaBI), having
joined the bank in 2007.
Has been involved in several advisory and financing structuring mandates for
Projects, namely PPP’s and industrial projects in Portugal, Brazil and Africa,
including Marão Tunnel Concession (Portugal), Pinhal Interior Concession (Portugal),
Litoral Oeste Concession (Portugal), Rodoanel Mário Covas Oeste Concession
(Brazil), Ecosteel Industrial Project, developed by Foz do Brasil (Brazil), New Tete
Bridge Concession (Mozambique), Drilling Ship Norbe VIII e IX (Brazil), Artlant
Industrial Project (Portugal), CUF QI Industrial Complex (Portugal), and Embraport –
Empresa Brasileira de Terminais Portuários (Brazil).
Before joining CaixaBI, worked for KPMG Portugal, from 2002 until 2007, as auditor
in the Financial Services Department. He worked in several financial clients namely
Banks, Investment Funds, and Credit Securitization Funds. He took part in several
special projects namely capital increases, credit securitization, due-diligence of
project finance portfolios and Basel II implementation. During these engagements he
specialized in financial markets and credit risk.
Has a degree in Economics from Instituto Superior de Economia e Gestão.
