Design and synthesis of new calixarene-based architectures for sensory applications. Supramolecular
systems for detection of neutral molecules and molecular ions. Fluorescence-based sensing systems.
Design and synthesis of functional polymers. Synthesis of calixarene-based polymeric materials. Study of
their properties and applications in the field of optoelectronics, chemical and biochemical sensors, nonlinear
optics and catalysis.
