Results before taxes reach € 8,6 million
Banco Best registered a growth of 27% in
the results before taxes during the 3rd
quarter
Results before taxes of
€8,6 million and net
result of €6,5 million
During the first 9 months of 2012 Banco Best presented results before taxes of €8,6
million, representing an increase of 27% versus the same period last year. On the
other hand, and following the increase in the taxes payment, the net result was of
€6,5 million, in line with the same period the previous year.

In the 3rd quarter of this year Banco Best also registered a 12% growth in the
number of clients versus the same period last year; also the total assets under
custody grew 16,6% reaching €1,8 billion.
As for the main economical and financial ratios BEST stayed in a comfortable
position with a ratio of transformation of deposits into credit of about 39% and a
Core Tier I Ratio of 14,4% in August, significantly above the 10% minimum value
recommended by Banco de Portugal.
These results are due to the excellent performance in several business areas,

mainly in the distribution of foreign investment funds in the national market, where
Banco Best is the leader with a market quota of 33% (Securities and Exchange

Bonds For All
revolutionizes access
to the Bonds market
Best is also the leader in the online derivatives negotiation in Portugal, with a
market quota of 34% in August 2012 (Securities and Exchange Commission Statistical
Report – August 2012).
At the same time there was also a significant growth in the bonds activity, reaching
a transaction result of € 225 million since the beginning of the year. This growth
was due to the success of Bonds For All, a revolutionary service of buying/selling
for the private investors with an online access to the largest bonds offer in
Portugal, allowing the OTC negotiation of Portuguese public debt, national
companies debt, as well as bonds issued by well known international entities.
