Brazilian Federal Register Nº 174, Friday, September 10 2010 Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Food Supply ANIMAL AND PLANT HEALTH INSPECTION SECRETARIAT - SDA NORMATIVE INSTRUCTION 22, FROM SEPTEMBER 8, 2010 THE SECRETARY OF ANIMAL AND PLANT HEALTH INSPECTION OF THE MINISTRY OF AGRICULTURE, LIVESTOCK AND FOOD SUPPLY, in use of the attribution conferred upon him by Paragraph IV of Article 103 and added by the provisions of Paragraph 9, both of such part of Ordinance No 45, from March 22 2007, and in view of the contents of Normative Instruction 42 from December 31 2008, Normative Instruction 21 from June 30 2009 and the contents of Process No. 21000.0006280/2010-10, decides: Article 1 to promote the publication of the results of the National Programs for Control of Residues and Contaminants in agricultural crops of pineapple, lettuce, peanuts, rice, bananas, potatoes, Brazil Nut, lemon or acid lime, apple, papaya, mango , melon, maize, strawberry, black pepper, tomato and grapes that are subject to the National Plan for Control of Residues and Contaminants in Products of Vegetable Origin - PNCRC/Vegetal for the 2009/2010 harvest, as listed in Annexes I to III of this Normative Instruction. Article 2 to inform that field investigation actions have been carried by the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Food Supply - MAPA to identify possible causes of the presence of unauthorized pesticide residues, as well as pesticide residues and contaminants in concentrations above the maximum limits allowed by legislation. Article 3 to recommend to the productive sectors covered by the PNCRC/Vegetal (based on violations detected by the aforementioned programs) that health education measures be taken in farms and other related areas to achieve compliance with agricultural good practices.
