LIPOR integrates enterprise mission to Brazil (Inter-Waste
Project)
A LIPOR participou em mais uma missão empresarial promovida
pela Associação Empresarial de Portugal (AEP) no âmbito do
projeto "Inter-Resíduos – Internacionalização do sector português
da gestão integrada de resíduos", desta vez a Pernambuco.
O objetivo principal do projeto “Inter-Resíduos” consiste na criação
das melhores condições para o sucesso da entrada de empresas
portuguesas no mercado Brasileiro, através de um conjunto de
atividades muito diversificado, utilizando meios que permitam colocar as empresas no centro dos negócios deste sector
no Brasil.
Foram promovidas diversas reuniões de trabalho com entidades de referência locais e do setor de resíduos, públicas e
privadas.
De destacar o forte envolvimento da Presidência da Câmara de Comércio Brasil-Portugal em Pernambuco e da
Secretaria de Estado de Meio Ambiente e Sustentabilidade na receção da comitiva de empresários portugueses do setor
dos resíduos.
A LIPOR, que conta com 30 anos de experiência, teve a oportunidade de apresentar a sua estratégia de negócio e de
internacionalização, assim como o seu portfolio de produtos e/ou serviços, que são suportados por um elevado nível de
conhecimento e know-how de uma vasta equipa de técnicos especializados e por uma rede de parceiros tecnológicos e
de serviços de elevado renome, tanto a nível nacional como internacional.
LIPOR participated, one more time, in an enterprise mission promoted by the Enterprise Association of Portugal (AEP) in the
scope of the “Inter-Waste - Internationalization of the Portuguese Waste Integrated Management Sector” Project. Of this
time the Pernambuco.
The main objective of the “Inter-Waste” Project consists in the creation of the best conditions for the success of Portuguese
companies entrance in the Brazilian market, through a set of a much diversified activities, using tools that allow placing the
companies in the centre of this sector business in Brazil.
Had been promoted a lot of very important work meetings with reference local entities of the waste sector, private and
public entities.
To enhance the strong involvement of the Chamber of Commerce Brazil-Portugal in Pernambuco Presidency and of the
Environment and Sustainability State Secretary in the reception of the waste sector Portuguese entrepreneurs group.
LIPOR, which counts on 30 years of experience, had the chance to present its business strategy of business and its services,
that they are supported in a high level of specialized knowledge and know-how of a vast technician team and in a net of
technological partners and services of raised reputation, in a national level and international level.

OMAN-MUSCAT DELEGATION
A Lipor- Serviço Intermunicipalizado de Gestão de Resíduos do
Grande Porto, no âmbito do seu projeto de internacionalização
iniciou uma abordagem técnica ao mercado do Médio Oriente –
Oman.
Esta visita permitiu estabelecer contatos importantes com as
autoridades locais perspetivando trabalhos conjuntos para a
Gestão Integrada de Resíduos.
O Mercado de Oman apresenta um crescimento importante e
representa uma oportunidade para diferentes setores empresariais.
Lipor-Intermunicipal Waste Management of Porto Greater Region, under is internationalization project started a technical
approach to the Middle East market - Oman.
This visit allowed Lipor to establish important contacts with local authorities aiming the set of future works on Integrated
Waste Management.
The Oman market presents significant growth and represents an opportunity for different business sectors.

Practice at European level
O Estudo "Urban Development in the EU: 50 projects supported by european regional development fund during the
2007 - 13 period" refere como Projeto de referência e como uma das Boas Práticas de Inovação a nível europeu, o
Projeto Horta à Porta da LIPOR.
O Estudo, disponível no website da AEIDL - Associação Europeia para a Informação e o Desenvolvimento Local
http://aeidl.eu/en/projects/territorial-development/urban-development.html, foi apresentado a uma Comissão no
Parlamento Europeu, tendo a DG Régio da Comissão Europeia referido que pretende desenvolver outras iniciativas
de divulgação institucional, ao mais alto nível do quadro político e institucional europeu.
O Projeto da LIPOR é um dos 2 únicos projetos portugueses referenciados, o que representa mais um
reconhecimento da LIPOR ao nível nacional e europeu.
The study “Urban Development in the EU: 50 projects supported by European regional development fund during the 2007 13 period" refers Horta à Porta – Biological Kitchen Gardens of Porto Region as a reference Project and an Innovation Good
Practice at European level.
The study, available at the website of AEIDL - European Association for Information on Local Development

European Parliament and DG Regio of the European Commission mentioned that aims to develop other initiatives of
institutional promotion, at the highest level of European political and institutional framework.
The Project of LIPOR is one of the only two Portuguese projects recognized, distinguishing LIPOR at a national and
European level.
SISTEMA INTEGRADO DE GESTÃO DE RESÍDUOS
INTEGRATED WASTE MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS
A correta Gestão de Resíduos pode e deve ser assegurada através da implementação de uma estratégia integrada
entre diferentes stakeholders e perspetivando diferentes inputs nas fases do projeto.
Efetivamente hoje verifica-se a necessidade de enquadrar os Sistemas de Gestão de Resíduos numa perspetiva mais
ampla, capaz de integrar diferentes soluções técnicas e que se enquadre nos desafios atuais e futuros das cidades e
regiões.
O conhecimento e a experiência acumulada da Lipor, reflexo no seu Sistema Integrado de Gestão de Resíduos é hoje
um referencial de Boas Práticas a nível internacional.
Este reconhecimento permite à Lipor internacionalizar as soluções técnicas e conhecimento adquiridos
perspetivando sistemas de vanguarda, eficientes e Inovadores.

Proper Waste Management can and should be achieved through the implementation of an integrated strategy between
different stakeholders and with inputs different phases of the project.
Indeed today there is a need to frame the Waste Management Systems in a wider perspective, able to integrate different
techniques and solutions that meets the current and future challenges of cities and regions.
The knowledge and experience accumulated by LIPOR, reflected in its Integrated Waste Management System is today a
benchmark of internationally good practice.
This recognition allows LIPOR to internationalize technical solutions and knowledge acquired aiming cutting-edge efficient
and Innovative systems.
