A multistakeholder successful initiative to
combat deforestation
We invite you to learn more about the Soy
Moratorium in the Amazon Biome. The
purpose of this initiative is to conciliate
economic development with rainforest
protection. Promoted by the private
sector, it includes the participation of
the following civil society organizations:
International Conservation, Greenpeace,
IPAM, TNC and WWF Brasil, in addition to the
Brazilian Ministry of the Environment. The
initiative is also supported by Amigos da Terra
Amazônia Brasileira, Imaflora and STTR Santarém.
Innovations adopted during the third monitoring year
and the next steps of the Moratorium will be presented
at that time.
