Let’s review some grammar points!
The “verb to be” is one of the main verbs in English. Many time tenses use
them, especially the simple present for yes/no question. It also must agree with
the person of speech (first, second or third – singular and plural). Complete the
chart below with the correct verb to be.

To form sentences with the “verb to be” in the simple present, we must use this
structure:
Affirmative sentences: Subject + Verb to be + complement.
E.g.: Agnes is cute.
Negative sentences: Subject + Verb to be + complement.
E.g.: Agnes isn’t cute.
Questions: Verb to be + Subject + complement.
E.g.: Is Agnes cute?
To which you might respond using the short forms:
(+) Yes, she is! Or (-) No she isn’t.

Subject or Personal Pronouns are the pronouns we use to replace the subject

while we practice. She is very intelligent. Hermione has a cat called
Crookshanks. He is orange and he is always angry.
