Hino dos EUA (USA Anthem)
Todo país do mundo tem seu hino, assim como estados e cidades. Como esse é um blog de
inglês, estou trazendo hoje o hino dos EUA. É uma canção chamada The Star-Spangled
Banner, ou A Bandeira Estrelada. No vídeo abaixo, você vê a primeira estrofe. Caso não
consiga visualizar o vídeo corretamente pelo blog, tente no Youtube. Em breve, publicarei hinos
de outros países de língua inglesa também. Abaixo a letra completa (em negrito) com a sua
tradução:

E onde é aquela faixa que assim juraram Que o assolamento de guerra e a confusão da
batalha Uma casa e um país deveriam deixar nenhum mais para nós? O sangue deles(as)
desapareceu na poluição do passo sujo deles(as). Nenhum refúgio poderia salvar o empreado
e escravo do terror de vôo, ou a obscuridade do sepulcro: E a bandeira coberta de estrelas em
onda de triunfo A terra do livre e a casa do valente!
Oh, thus be it ever when freemen shall stand. Between their loved home and the war's
desolation! Blest with victory and peace, may the heaven-rescued land Praise the Power
that has made and preserved us a nation. Then conquer we must, when our cause it is
just. And this be our motto: "In God is our trust". And the star-spangled banner in

Oh, assim sempre seja isto quando os homens livres estarão. Entre a casa amada deles(as) e
a desolação da guerra! Abençoado com vitória e paz, possa a terra céu-salvada Louve o Poder
que fez e nos preservou uma nação. Então conquiste nós devemos, quando nossa causa é
