Language Qualifications Portuguese - Mother language English - Speeking and writing skills 3 Research Experience Elaboration of the Master Thesis entitled “ Distributed Control of Platforms for Mechatronics Experiences” During the work on my Master Thesis I have developed distributed realtime control systems over communications networks in order to interconnect all elements of the system and integrate them in a high-level system. The usual applications of such technology are primarily linked with the development of industrial networks and home automation. This thesis provides a set of broad skills ranging from the development of hardware-control systems, construction of user-friendly interface system and finally design and scale of the control communication network. • Hardware Development – Electronics development for micro-controllers, integration with mechanical systems and devices. • Software Development – Large experience in micro-controllers programming using open source compilers like “sdcc” for Linux OS. – Large experience in C and C++ programming. – Large experience in graphical applications development. – Experience in image processing with integration on Real-Time Control Systems. • Control and Automation – Control and automation of physical and mechanic systems. – Experience in networks development for Distributed Real-Time Control Systems. 4 • Communication Networks – Experience in network fields, specially in “Ethernet” – Connection of different types of communication protocols. • Others – Large experience in Linux OS. – Some experience in the text processor LATEX. CAMBADA - Robotic Football Team of University of Aveiro Participation in the development of behavioral algorithm of “Goal-Keeper”. The overall results in the team competitions were the 1st in the national championship “Robotica 2007”, winning the former champions, the team of the University of Minho, in penalties with a score of 3 to 2. And a 5th in the world in the category of “ Midle Size”, “CAMBADA” was the third team with less scored goals in the competition. In the year 2008, I was responsible for the development of “Basestation”, application responsible for monitoring and controlling robots and the referee.
