QUARTETO INTERMEZZO The group was formed in 1994, had musical training with teachers Christopher Christopher Bochmann, Ceciliu Istfan, João Lucena Vale and Paul Wakabayashi. In 1997, did a workshop for chamber music, directed by Maria Joao Pires, and Rudolf Watzel, member of the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra. Between 1997 and 1999, worked with the composer Daniel Schwetz to make a repertoire dedicated to Tango and Argentine folk music. The group performed concerts in Alcochete, Almeirim, Caldas Rainha, Carrazeda Ansiães, Centro Cultural Belém, Fátima, Figueiró Vinhos, Guarda, Malveira, Mafra, Montijo, Odemira, Reguengos Monsaraz, Rio Maior and Sintra. Susana Nogueira – Violin Luis Rufo – Violin Bruno Correia – Viola Samuel Santos – Cello CURRICULA Susana Nogueira – Violin Studied at the Academia de Amadores de Música with Anibal Lima and Jorge Lé, at the Conservatório Nacional with Christa Ruppert and Manuel Gomes. She graduated in the Escola Superior de Música de Lisboa with Khatchatour Amirkhanian. She is master at the University of Évora with Valentim Stefanov and studied with James Dahlgreen and Ceciliu Istfan. She was concertino in the Orquestra Sinfónica Juvenil and stage in the Orquestra Erasmus, Orquestra de Câmara de Cascais and Oeiras. Worked with various Portuguese orchestras and acted in France, Greece, Belgium and Germany. She made Master Classes with Gerardo Ribeiro, Maxim Vengerov, Lavarda Skou-Larsen, Betty Hagge, Stephen Bull, Ifrah Neaman, Jean-Sebastian Beraut and Bertrand Bordeaux, and teaches at the Conservatório Regional de Évora Eboræ Mvsica. Luis Rufo – Violin Began his studies at the Academia de Música Eborense, in violin, and at the Escola Profissional de Música de Évora with Nikolay Lalov. Graduated at the Escola Superior de Música de Lisboa with Khatchatour Amirkhanian. Is master at the University of Évora with Valentim Stefanov. Participated in the Festival of Music, S. Roque, ESML, the Cistermúsica Festival, and the Expo '2000, in Hannover. He played in Portugal, Spain, Mozambique and Pyrenees. It shows up regularly in concert with Orchestra Gulbenkian, Filarmonia das Beiras, Metropolitana de Lisboa, Sinfonietta de Lisboa and made Master Class with Maxim Vengerov, Ifrah Neaman, Stephen Bull and Bertrand Bordeaux. Bruno Correia – Viola Began his studies at the Escola Profissional de Música de Évora, with Mirandela Danuta Grossmanova. Made Master Classes with Max Rabinovitsj, Paul Wakabayashi, Ryszard Woycicki, Chao Bin and Paulo Gaio Lima. He stages at Orchestra APROARTE and tours with the Orquestra da Universidade de Évora, in France - 2004 and 2005 and worked with Ernst Schelle, Max Rabinovitjs, Roberto Perez, Carlos Riazuelo, Christopher Bochmann, Dario Nuno, Pedro Neves, and others. Is licensed in Viola by the Universidade de Évora, with Valentine Stefanov (Viola) and John Lucena and Vale (Chamber music). Is master at the Universidade de Évora in classes of Viola and the Chamber Music of Paul Wakabayashi and teaches Violin and Viola in the Conservatório Regional de Évora Eboræ Music and in the Conservatório Regional do Baixo Alentejo. Samuel Santos – Cello He began his musical studies at the Professional School of Music of Évora with Miguel Ivo Cruz and Marília Peixoto. Did Bachelor in Superior School of Music in Lisbon with Clelia Vital and did his graduation in the Superior School of Applied Arts, Polytechnic Institute of Castelo Branco with Miguel Rocha and Catherine Strynckx. Currently, attend the Master degree at the University of Evora with Paulo Gaio Lima. In 2003 he won the 3rd prize at the Young Musicians Award, the top level with the trio. In 2004, he won the contest ESART and played the cello concerto by Dvorak in the festivals of Leiria, Coimbra, Castelo Branco. In 2007, invited by the cellist Irene Lima, touched the ground with Chamber Orchestra concert Josefa de Óbidos cello L. Boccherini in G M. Took courses with Marcio Carneiro, Jeroen Reuling, Jian Wang, Sergei Roldugin, António Menezes, Xavier Gagne Pane, Dmitri Ferschtman.
