Short description
The lecture includes topics about Brazilian economy, agri-food supply chain, institution environment
and the challenges the country has been facing to grow within a sustainable basis. Government
policies as well as business cases are addressed. The lectures also focus on aspects related to
cultural and institutional arrangement, which support economic transactions and play a pivotal role in
business in the country, in addition to aspects of Brazilian consumer behaviour.
Objectives and skills
- Provide an overall economic analysis, comparing Brazil with other developed and developing
economies;
- Explore the Brazilian agri-food exports portfolio, compare and discuss agri-food supply chain, and
assess the strategic options in distribution channels and internatonal markets for agri-food
products;
