PROCEDURES AND CARE FOR ASSEMBLY AND DAILY INSPECTION OF THE APPORT ELECTRIC MINI PLATFORM A-50 Model 01. Check the quality of the steel cables during assembly and periodically, every 30 days, verifying their good conservation condition and if they are undamaged: unraveling tips, free of broken wires and nodes. 02. Check, during every assembly, if the ties of the steel cables are secure and if the clips used in the loops of the cables are properly attached. Also check the existence of pads in the loops. 03. Check if the steel cables are not passing on sharp edges. The sharp edges should be protected to avoid damaging the cables. 04. Install the main steel cables with anchors independent of the scaffold safety cables. 05. Assemble the Mini Platform and install the A-50 APPORT Electric Winch in the support railing, checking the attachment and operation of the safety lock, which should present the moving weight of the piston upwards. Rua da Regeneração, 929 – CEP 21040-170 – Ramos – Rio de Janeiro – RJ – Telefax 21 3884-5530 06. Check if the main steel cable and the safety cable of the Mini Platform are parallel. They may not be intertwined. 07. Install the main cables in accordance with the scheme shown in the cover of the winch. Adjust the spring tension at its lower part. 08. Check which power tension is available, 220V or 380V, also checking if the motor and the electric panel connections are compatible. The power should be three-phase and stabilized. Also check for grounding. 09. Check if the blue ground wire, of the scaffold electric panel, is properly grounded in the power supply provided by the construction work. 10. Check if the blue ground wire is connected grounding the mass of the winch motors. 11. Install the electric panel on the inner side of the Mini Platform, connect the sockets of the winches and check the connections, using the female socket cover as lock. Rua da Regeneração, 929 – CEP 21040-170 – Ramos – Rio de Janeiro – RJ – Telefax 21 3884-5530 12. Place the power supply wire of the panel, winding two or three laps before connecting it to the panel socket, thereby preventing that the weight of the cable itself forces the socket when the Mini Platform is at the top. Also check if the connection is locked with the cover. 13. When the Mini Platform is energized, the motor brake should be tested at the 1st operation. This test is performed by raising the Mini Platform approximately 80 cm from the floor and then lowering 50 cm. At that point, when the electric panel button is released, the Mini Platform should stop instantly. 14. After checking the electric installation and the operation of the Mini Platform, adjust the safety cable brake to a maximum slope of 40 cm. 15. Check if the worker who is using the APPORT Electric Mini Platform is fitted with a seatbelt and an individual fall-arrest device. 16. Check if the worker of the APPORT Electric Mini Platform has an exclusive safety steel cable or polyamide rope to fasten the individual fall-arrest device. 17. The steel cable or polyamide rope of the individual fall-arrest device of the worker should have ties independent of the main cable. Rua da Regeneração, 929 – CEP 21040-170 – Ramos – Rio de Janeiro – RJ – Telefax 21 3884-5530 18. When the Mini Platform is in full operation, the load capacity, found at the fixed plate in the APPORT Electric Winch, should always be observed. 19. If there is any failure during the Mini Platform movement, just press the emergency panel button to stop the scaffold immediately. 20. If there is any strange noise or vibration in the APPORT Electric Winch while moving the Mini Platform, stop the equipment and call the APPORT Technical Assistance. 21. Check if the conditions of the Mini Platform structure: support railing, joint elements, railing, baseboards and floor are in good conservation conditions; no dents or corrosion, which may endanger the stability of the APPORT Electric Mini Platform. 22. Check if the supporting structure of the APPORT Electric Mini Platform is compatible with the total weight of the Mini Platform and the efforts to which it will be subjected. 23. Check if the manual tools used are tied up properly. Rua da Regeneração, 929 – CEP 21040-170 – Ramos – Rio de Janeiro – RJ – Telefax 21 3884-5530 24. Keep on the APPORT Electric Mini Platform only the necessary and essential equipment to carry out the planned activities, not allowing the accumulation of materials on the Mini Platform. 25. Check the isolation and signage of the area under the APPORT Electric Mini Platform. 26. When the Mini Platform is in full operation, always observe the load capacity that may be found on the cover of the APPORT Electric Winch.
