He is also the Academic Director of the doctoral program in Technological Change and Entrepreneurship jointly offered by CATÓLICA-LISBON, IST and Carnegie Mellon University. Professor Oliveira teaches in undergraduate, MBA, and Executive Education Programs. He is also the Director of the “Advanced Program in Entrepreneurship and Innovation Management (PAEGI)” program and the “Supply Chain Management Program (SUPPLY)”. He is the Founder and Project Leader of Patient Innovation, Scientific Director of the Health Innovation Lab (HiLab), and co-founder of PPL Crowdfunding Portugal. He received his Ph.D. in Operations, Technology and Innovation Management from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill; and his M.Sc. in Operation Research and Systems Engineering and his graduation in Naval Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico (IST). Previously he was an International Faculty Fellow (IFF) at MIT Sloan School of Management. Helena Canhão - Professor Helena Canhão received her MD and her Ph.D. in Medicine (Rheumatology) from the Lisbon Medical School (FMUL) and her M.Sc. in Medical Sciences (MMSc) from Harvard Medical School, Harvard University. She is a Professor of Rheumatology at Lisbon Medical School, a Senior Consultant of Rheumatology at North Lisbon Medical Centre (Santa Maria Hospital, Lisbon), Principal Investigator at Instituto de Medicina Molecular. She is also the Principal Investigator of several Clinical Trials at Santa Maria Hospital; National Coordinator of Reuma.pt (the Portuguese Register in Rheumatic Diseases) from Portuguese Society of Rheumatology (SPR); Co-coordinator of EpireumaPt (the Portuguese Epidemiologic Study of Rheumatic Diseases, known also as RheumaCensus). She is the Principal Investigator of CoReumaPt (Portuguese Cohort Study of Rheumatic Diseases) from SPR and Chief Medical Officer of Patient Innovation. She is the Scientific Director of the Health Innovation Lab (HiLab), a forum that brings together leaders, professionals and entrepreneurs from the health-care sector and academia to discuss, share and experiment innovative ideas and concepts.
