DESCRIPTION
The I Latin-American Meeting on Energy Economics (ELAEE), organized by the Brazilian
Association for Energy Studies (AB3E), is an innovating event in the area of energy economics
in Brazil, being held in connection with the Brazilian Conference on Energy Planning (CBPE),
which is offered every two years by the Brazilian Society for Energy Planning (SBPE). The I
ELAEE is the first event of a series intended to become regular, in line with the efforts devoted
by the International Association for Energy Economics (IAEE) in organizing regional
conferences worldwide. IAEE regular regional events include the US (in its 28th edition),
European and Asian conferences on energy economics. The organization of the I ELAEE is an
initiative which seeks to establish a future IAEE Latin-American Conference.

A dinner will be organized at Pestana Convento do Carmo (the only hotel outside Portugal
member of the exclusive Pousadas de Portugal group), in the historical area of Pelourinho

reception by typical baianas and musical entertaining are included.
