Abstract: This paper has as objective to present a 2D frame structural reliability analysis methodology considering the geometric non-linearity. Computational tools for structural and reliability analysis will be used. In order to obtain the structure reliability, the FORM (First Order Reliability Method) analytic method is used. This method compounds an iterate procedure to find out the structure’s failure probability and sensibility measures. The structural analysis aims to reveal the structure’s behavior when exposed to external strength, which could show a linear or non-linear behavior. The last one is observed in almost every structure before they reach their limit resistance. Among many sources of a structure’s non-linearity it could be found the physical and the geometric non-linearity. The first it’s caused because the material doesn’t have a linear strain-stress relation, the geometric non-linearity is result of the second order effects emerging when the structure, under the normal strength, is submitted to relatively big displacement, even if it presents physical linearity. This paper considers just the geometric non-linearity. A case study is used to validate the descript methodology. Keywords: Structural reliability, FORM method, geometric non-linearity
