Maria da Conceição de Oliveira Costa Mota, MD, medical degree in Medicine by the Oporto
University in October 1981, nephrology specialty since 1991 and a sub-specialty in pediatric
nephrology attributed in 2005. Between 1993 to 2012 she had had clinical activity at Maria Pia
Children Hospital and after that in University Hospital Santo António in Oporto Hospital
Centre, and is in-charge, for The Pediatric Dialysis and the kidney Pediatric Transplant Program,
having some publications in these fields. She corporate regularly in the organization of training
courses and participates in the formation of internships of pediatric and nephrology. Since July
2008 is Director of the Pediatric Nephrology Service of the Oporto Hospital Center.
