Currently conducting PhD research on urban
competitiveness and governance, focusing on the
Metropolitan Area of Lisbon. Other interests include
strategic planning and public participation.
Recent international activities include:
- AESOP PhD workshop in 2007;
- Comparative research on competitiveness and
governance aspects for the metropolitan areas of
Montreal and Lisbon (funded by the International
Council for Canadian Studies) published in the
portuguese revue GeoInova, in 2007.
- Presentation at the 2006 EURA International
