5. Objetivos de aprendizagem (conhecimentos, aptidões e competências a desenvolver pelos estudantes)
Objetivos: trata-se de uma introdutória no campo da tradução da língua espanhola.
Questiona a própria dimensão do ato de traduzir de uma língua tão próxima da língua
portuguesa e pretende fomentar a reflexão acerca da sua suposta facilidade.
Competências: a disciplina pretende levar os alunos a aprofundar competências de
comunicação oral e escrita, a aprofundar as competências específicas relativas às
metodologias de tradução (leitura, interpretação, investigação, organização e tratamento da
informação, entre outras).
Learning outcomes of the curricular unit
Objectives: this is an introductory subject in the field of translation from Spanish. The
subject questions the specificity of the translation act from a language so similar to the
Portuguese Language and aims to promote a reflection about its supposed easiness.
Competences: the subject aims to lead the Students to deepen their competences of oral
and written communication, and to deepen the specific competences relative to the
translation
methodologies
(reading,
interpretation,
investigation,
organization
and
treatment of the information, between others).

Conteúdos programáticos
Abordando textos de diferentes tipologias, a cadeira de Tradição Generalista do Espanhol
centrar-se-á em textos de imprensa porque se pretende, paralelamente ao exercício da
tradução, aproximar os alunos dos temas da atualidade do mundo de língua espanhola,
funcionando, deste modo, em articulação com as cadeiras de Língua e Cultura Espanhola.
Syllabus
Working with texts of different typology, the subject will focus on texts from the press,
because it aims, while exercising translation, to lead the students into day to day discussion
themes of the Spanish speaking world, working, in this way, in articulation with the subjects
of Spanish Language and Culture.
7. Metodologia de ensino (avaliação incluída)
As aulas serão fundamentalmente práticas, com momentos de exposição de noções teóricas
e de sistematização de conteúdos, a partir da análise e interpretação de textos e de
exercícios de tradução.
A avaliação da unidade é contínua e contempla vários momentos:

trabalho prático e apresentação em aula (30%);

portefólio: traduções, glossários, lista de recursos disponíveis (35%);

teste (35%).
Teaching methodologies (including evaluation)
Classes will be mostly practical, with dedicated sessions for the presentation of foundational
concepts, especially in the beginning of the course.
Assessment is continuous and includes the following elements:

presentation of a translation in class, of specific problems and strategies for solving
them (30%);

portfolio: translations, glossaries, list of available resources (35%);

test (35%).
