We are going to partner with Jardim das
Oliveiras school this year. They need
more books in their library, new classroom chairs and desks, and even working
computers for their lab. They also could
use a complete paint job on the outside
of the building and some new tiles on
their classroom floor. The Walkathon this
year is going to help the students from
Jardim das Oliveiras! We want to reach
out and help this school that has been a
pioneer in Carapicuíba.
Traditionally the Walkathon helps raise
funds for a specific school project. This
year we want to help others. It’s part of
our school theme of being created to do
good works that God has prepared in advance. We are challenging the students
to show compassion and kindness by
raising money for worthy causes.
What is a Walkathon? A Walkathon is a
type of school fundraiser where participants raise money by collecting donations or pledges for walking laps around
the school’s soccer field (for about 50
minutes). Fundraising occurs when students ask their community, friends, and
family members to sponsor them “X”
amount per lap or to give a single gift.

Também precisam pintar as paredes e de
um piso novo nas salas de aula. O Walkathon vai beneficiar os alunos da escola
Jardim das Oliveiras! Juntos podemos
ajudar essa escola pioneira de Carapicuíba.
Tradicionalmente, o Walkathon é uma
ferramenta usada para arrecadar fundos
para um projeto escolar específico. Este
ano, queremos ajudar os necessitados.
A divisa de fé deste ano letivo diz que fomos feitos para fazer as boas obras que
Deus preparou. Desafiamos os alunos a
demonstrarem compaixão e bondade ao
arrecadar fundos para essa boa causa.
O que é o Walkathon? O Walkathon é
um evento no qual os alunos dão voltas
em torno do campo de futebol da escola
por cerca de 50 minutos. A arrecadação
beneficente ocorre porque cada aluno
pede patrocínio à comunidade, amigos e
familiares de uma quantia “x” por volta
completada, ou pede uma doação financeira única.
