Let’s Go: Your Passport Around The World News From The International Affairs Office Volume 1, Issue 6 Welcome to the New School Year! September 2013 edition The 2013-2014 year has started off as a busy one! Indian Hills is home to approximately 70 international students, coming from countries all around the world, with a majority of them new (starting 13/FA). Welcome to those who have just arrived, and welcome back to our returning students! Welcome back everybody! The International Affairs Office is providing this monthly newsletter in order to help keep you, the student, informed of important dates and upcoming events. As the fairly new editor of Let’s Go: Your Passport Around the World, I want to not only inform you, but entertain you with the content I put in the newsletter. If you have any ideas for future newsletters, or any questions in general, just email me at [email protected]. Don’t forget that our weekly shuttles will be on Wednesdays. There is a day shuttle to places like the bank, doctor, post office, and others from 3-4:30. The evening shuttle (to Wal-Mart and other stores) will be from 7:30-9:30 p.m. Since there aren’t many riders for the day shuttle and you plan to use it, you will need to come into the International Affairs Office if you need a ride. For the evening shuttle, the van will be parked outside of Trustee Hall. If you have any questions or suggestions regarding our newsletter, feel free to email me at [email protected]. Kimberly Brouhard, editor Student Office Assistant, International Affairs Office Mandatory International Student Health Insurance Effective 13/FA All F-1 international students (new and returning) enrolling at IHCC for the 13/FA term or after will automatically be enrolled in a mandatory health insurance plan. The fee will be added to your student account each term you enroll. You can email [email protected] if you have specific questions, and you can also visit www.lewermark.com/indianhills for details. You should all have received your health insurance card. Please make sure to keep this with you at all times. You will need to present the card at the time of receiving any services at a hospital, clinic, emergency room, or getting a prescription filled.
