“Rodrigo Ferreira”. A inauguração terá lugar na terça-feira, dia 5 de Novembro
de 2013 às 17:30h, na Galeria de Arte, localizada no Vale do Lobo Shopping.
A ocasião será celebrada com um beberete. Esperamos dar-lhe as boas-vindas nesta ocasião.
It is with pleasure that Galeria São Mamede and Galeria de Arte Vale do Lobo invite you to the opening
of the forthcoming painting exhibition, “Parcours” by “Rodrigo Ferreira”. The opening will take
place on Tuesday, 5th November 2013 at 17:30h at the Art Gallery, located in Vale do Lobo Shopping.
The occasion will be celebrated with a cocktail. We do hope to see you there.

Segunda a Sexta, das 09:00h às 18:00h. A entrada é livre. Esta exposição é organizada em colaboração com a Galeria São Mamede.
The painting exhibition PARCOURS by “Rodrigo Ferreira” will be open to the public from the 5th November until the 11th of December
2013 - Monday to Friday, from 09:00h to 18:00h. Entrance is free.

rodrigo ferreira nasceu em Paris em 1951
onde ainda reside e frequentou a École Nacional de
Beaux-Arts de Paris entre 1969 e 1975. Expõe desde
1967 em França e em Portugal onde está representado em diversas colecções particulares. Rodrigo
Ferreira pinta sob o signo da luz, de um esplendor
que transborda dos limites do visível e invade as telas com o halo perturbador de uma perdida essência da beleza. Espaços luz, mágicos écrans onde se
reflecte um desejo de plenitude, uma fome saciada
de absoluto que parece ter escolhido para habitar
estas vastas extensões de oceanos feitos da conjunção do ar, da terra, do fogo e do ar. Horizontes
da terra enamorada da secreta aura do visível, horizontes virgens para os iniciados nesta espécie de
celebração, nesta visita a uma desconhecida geografia da alma que o artista ao longo dos anos e do
seu percurso tem vindo a revelar.
rodrigo ferreira was born in Paris in 1951 and
attended the École Nacional de Beaux-Arts in Paris
between 1969 and 1975. Since 1967 he has been exhibiting his work in a variety of diverse exhibitions in
both France and Portugal, integrating several individual collections.
Rodrigo Ferreira paints using light as his inspiration to explore the boundaries of the spectrum and
the space where light disappears into a halo.
His works depict a desire and hunger for life and
the vast expanses of oceans in conjunction with the
air, earth and fire. Using light and space his works
celebrate an unknown geography of the soul which are revealed through his art. Gentle colours are
blended with dramatic strokes resulting in an effect
which is both visually pleasing and intellectually
challenging, leaving the audience asking questions
of the work and of themselves.
