The Erasmus Mundus Master Mundusfor "Education of Professionals in Education" is a two-year course
organized by a consortium of five European universities [University of Porto (Portugal), Universidad de
Granada (Spain), Université Reims-Champagne-Ardennes (France), Universities: Hongskolen i Akershus
(Norway), and Universitat Rovira i Virgili of Tarragona (Spain)].
MUNDUSFOR consortium organizes the IV Orientation and Integration Seminar, held 12th -16th
September, for the first time at the University of Porto.
Aims
This seminar has the following objectives:
-
Promoting social cohesion of students and teachers;
Offer common elements of reflection on education and teacher training;
Provide information about the specializations of the third and fourth semesters;
Provide information regarding the organization of classes and mobility between universities;
Presentation and discussion of the Master´s Manual;
Public defense of the dissertations by students of the Master's Edition 2009-2011.
Cultural Activities
Additionally to the academic activities, we organized a social and cultural programme to get to know Porto, a
World Heritage Site.
September 13th, we suggest a walking across some areas in Porto. We offer you the guide that will help you
to explore the Tile, Medieval, Baroque, Neoclassical and Garrett tours, or the city’s Parks and Gardens,
including photos and information of the points of interest they comprise. We also suggest 5 itineraries into
the areas of Sé, Ribeira, Clérigos, Miragaia and the City Centre, using mp3 files, available in English,
Spanish and Portuguese.
September 15th we propose a visit to the Casa da Música and a concert of Couple Coffee (Free entrance).
September 16th we suggest a cruise on the Douro River which includes a visit to the Port Wine Cellars
(booking is necessary).
Porto is also known for its food, so we are providing you a list of restaurants where you can try our
Francesinha. For the last day we propose a lunch at Restaurante Abadia.
