Some courses offered by our Schools of Medicine are closed to exchange
students.
The School of Architecture and Urbanism (Faculdade de Arquitetura e
Urbanismo – FAU) and the School of Economics, Business and
Accountancy (Faculdade de Economia, Administração e Contabilidade –
FEA) receive each semester a large number of applications.

The Language Center of the Faculty of Philosophy, Language and
Literature, and Human Sciences – (Centro de Línguas da FFLCH) offers
each semester courses of Portuguese as a Foreign Language at São

How many credits are equivalent to full
time studies per semester?
Each 15 contact hours correspond to 1 credit. Part time students normally
take 20 credit courses and full time students take 40 credit courses.
Grading system
- Grades may range from zero to ten, and these numbers may be rounded
to the nearest tenth (Rules and Regulations, article 83).
- The student whose final grade is five or higher, and whose attendance is
seventy-five percent or higher, shall earn the applicable credits (Rules and
Regulations, article 84).
- One 'In class' credit corresponds to 15 hours in a given semester, while
one 'Workload' credit corresponds to 30 hours.
- This transcript of academic records is in full, showing failures and/or
interruptions of study.
