Please note that the British Council no longer certifies academic documents. If you are
returning to Portugal and you want to have your British academic qualifications recognised,
you should consult the British Council’s site at http://www.britishcouncil.org/portugaleducacao-equivalencias-portugal-uk.htm which explains that you should contact:

A Portuguese state university if you have an Honours degree, a Masters or a PhD.

The British Consulate is not authorised to certify the authenticity of your diploma or school
report. This can only be done by the Legalisation Office in the UK. For more information,
please consult their site https://www.gov.uk/legalisation-document-checker
The authentication of the translation of your diploma or school report can be done at the
local notary.
