PEKING UNIVERSITY SCHOOL OF STOMATOLOGY - Profile

The school was founded in 1941 and is the 1st national dental education
institution established in China; School of Stomatology is part of the PEKING
UNIVERSITY HEALTH SCIENCE CENTER
•
Clinical service infrastructure of 443 dental units and 140 ward beds cares
for 3000 out-patients per day;
•
Education for 692 students being in undergraduate, 30 in graduate program,
25 in doctoral program and 129 in advanced program
•
Research performed in a 6.500 m2 of scientific laboratories. Authorized test
center for dental material/equipment on behalf of Chinas State Food and
Drug Administration – SFDA
•
Actively engaged in the development of preventive dentistry actions. Only
WHO approved research and training center for preventative dentistry in
China. Leading institution for the past 3 national oral health epidemiology
survey for Chinese government.

FLUMINENSE FEDERAL UNIVERSITY - Profile

The university was founded in 1960 in the city of Niteroi, former capital of the State of
Rio de Janeiro. Holds 66 undergraduate courses, 131 lato sensu graduate (specialist
and MBA degrees) 78 stricto sensu graduate courses (master and doctoral levels) for
35.599 undergraduate and 11.675 postgraduate students, being 1.328 enrolled in
Doctoral degree and 2.702 in Master degree programs

UFF has 2 Faculties of Odontology, one at Niterói, and another at Nova Friburgo, 150
km west, with a total of 970 undergraduate, 65 lato sensu graduate and 52 stricto
sensu graduate students. University Hospital in Niteroi has 228 University Hospital
accredited by the Joint Commission International

Research performed on site and in collaboration with partner institutions within UFF.
Authorized Clinical Research Unit by the Brazilian Federal Government. Institutional
partner of the National Institute of Metrology, Standardization and Industrial Quality –
Inmetro
•
Consultant of municipal, state and federal government oral health actions has a
highly respected stricto sensu graduate program in the field of community Dentistry in
Brazil.
