For n-square matrices A, C the C-determinantal range of A is the following subset of the complex plane {det(A−U CU ∗ ) :
U U ∗ = U ∗ U = In }. If A, C are Hermitian matrices, then by a result of M. Fiedler [?] this set is a real line segment. In
this talk, we establish some necessary and sufficient conditions for the C-determinantal range of A to be a subset of the
real line. (Received February 10, 2015)
