The sustainable use of environmental resources and the
preservation of species and natural habitats are critical in order to
not compromise the future. Investment in scientific research and
technological innovation are crucial to find sustainable solutions
that respond to global change and protect the environment. This
investment requires a multidisciplinary approach. Based on an
integrated perspective, this edition of the CICTA will discuss issues
related to environmental contamination and toxicology, the
dissemination of R & D activities carried out on the Iberian
Peninsula and Latin America.
