RULES
I. DISPOSIÇÕES GERAIS
I. GENERAL TERMS
1) O 5º Olhar de Cinema – Festival Internacional de Curitiba
é realizado pela produtora Grafo Audiovisual Ltda.-ME. O
Festival acontecerá na cidade de Curitiba, de 8 a 16 de junho
de 2016.
1) The 5th Olhar de Cinema – Curitiba International Film
Festival is organized by Grafo Audiovisual Ltda.-ME. The
festival will be held between 8th and 16th June, 2016, in
Curitiba, Brazil.
2) As inscrições para o festival estão abertas para filmes de
documentário, ficção, experimental, animação e híbridos. Os
filmes selecionados serão exibidos nos seguintes formatos:
DCP e FullHD.
2) Registrations are open to fiction, documentary,
experimental, animated and hybrid films. The film and video
formats for exhibition at the Festival are: DCP and FullHD.
3) O festival se reserva o direito de convidar filmes não
inscritos para compor qualquer mostra do festival.
3) It is reserved the right of the festival to invite films not
submitted to be part of any section of the festival.
II. PREMIERE
II. ESTREIA
1) É obrigatório o ineditismo no Brasil para longas-metragens
e curtas-metragens internacionais, assim como para curtasmetragens brasileiros.
2) É preferível, e não obrigatório, longas-metragens brasileiros
inéditos no Brasil.
III. CATEGORIAS
1) A Seleção Oficial do festival é composta por mostras
competitivas e não competitivas com filmes de todo o mundo
(inclusive filmes brasileiros), que se dividem de acordo com
as seguintes categorias:

Novos Olhares (Primeiros longas-metragens);
Outros Olhares (curtas e longas-metragens);
Mirada Paranaense (curtas e longas-metragens);
2) O festival ainda conta com as mostras Exibições Especiais,
Foco, Olhar Retrospectivo e Olhares Clássicos.
1) It’s required Brazilian Premiere for International feature
films, International short films and Brazilian short films.
2) It’s requested, but not required, Brazilian Premiere for
Brazilian feature films.
III. CATEGORIES
1) The Official Selection of the festival is composed of
competitive and non-competitive sections, composed with
films from around the world (including Brazilian films), which
are divided according to the following categories:
• Competitive (short and feature films);
• New Views (1st Feature films);
• Other Views (short and feature films);
• Mirada Paranaense (short and feature films from Paraná
State);
2) The festival also has the sections: Special Screenings,
Focus, Retrospective and Classics.
IV. REGISTRATION

2) Os filmes devem ser enviados somente pelo Vimeo (com
senha) ou link privado, devendo a senha ser mantida a
mesma até o dia 10 de maio de 2016.
3) It is required English or Portuguese subtitles for films not
spoken in Portuguese.
3) Todos os filmes devem ser enviados com legendas em
inglês ou português quando não falados em português.
4) For submission purposes, screeners may be work-inprogress form.
4) Para fins de inscrição, será aceita versão work-in-progress
do filme.
5) Once submitted and selected, the film cannot be removed
from the festival program.
5) Uma vez inscrito e selecionado, o filme não poderá ser
retirado da programação do festival.
6) There will not be any registration fee.
V. SELECTION AND TRUSTEES
6) Não será cobrada nenhuma taxa de inscrição.
1) The screening copies must arrive at the festival until May
27th, 2016 and remain through at least June 22nd, 2016.
V. SELEÇÃO
1) As cópias de exibição deverão chegar ao festival até o dia
27 de maio de 2016 e permanecer até, no mínimo, dia 22 de
junho de 2016.
2) O festival se responsabiliza apenas pelas despesas com
o transporte das cópias dos filmes selecionados, excluindo
qualquer despesa adicional por impostos aduaneiros ou de
outro tipo no país de origem do filme.
3) As cópias dos filmes selecionados serão cobertas por
seguro pela organização do festival a partir do momento em
que o festival as recebe do agente de cargas até o momento
em que o festival as devolve ao agente de cargas, para que
voltem aos endereços comunicados pelos realizadores,
produtores ou representantes legais dos filmes. O seguro
não cobre nenhum dano pelo desgaste próprio do uso das
cópias durante as projeções.
1) Serão concedidos os seguintes prêmios:
Longa-metragem:
• Prêmio Olhar de Melhor Filme;
• Prêmio Especial do Júri;
• Prêmio de Contribuição Artística;
3) The screening copies will be insured by the organization of
the festival from the moment the festival receives them up to
the moment the festival returns them through the dispatcher
so that they return to the address notified by the directors,
producers or legal representatives of the films. The insurance
does not cover any wear and tear of the prints itself during
the projections.
VI. AWARDS
1) The following prizes will be awarded:

of the selected film copies, excluding any additional costs
imposed by customs or other fee in the country of origin of
the film.

2) A organização poderá adicionar prêmios decorrentes
de parcerias e apoios.

2) The Festival may add other awards due to partnerships.

VII. TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1) The individual or corporation submitting the film hereby
warrants that it is authorized to commit the film for screening,
and understands and accepts these requirements and
regulations.
2) The official selection will be announced to the public and
press until May 12nd, 2016.
VII. TERMOS E CONDIÇÕES
1) A pessoa física ou jurídica ao inscrever um filme por
este meio declara que está autorizada a comprometer o
filme em exibições e compreende e aceita estes termos e
regulamento.
2) A seleção oficial será anunciada para o público e imprensa
até o dia 12 de maio de 2016.
3) O responsável pela inscrição deverá indenizar e isentar o
Olhar de Cinema – Festival Internacional de Curitiba contra
todas e quaisquer reivindicações, responsabilidades, perdas,
danos e despesas (incluindo, mas não limitado a honorários
advocatícios e custos de tribunal) que pode ser efetuado por
motivo de qualquer reclamação envolvendo direitos autorais,
marcas, créditos, publicidade, exibição, perda ou dano aos
vídeos de seleção inscritos.
3) The person responsible for registration shall indemnify
and hold harmless Olhar de Cinema – Curitiba International
Film Festival from and against any and all claims, liabilities,
losses, damages, and expenses (including but not limited to
attorney’s fees, and costs of the court) which may be incurred
by reason of any claim involving copyright, trademark, credits,
publicity, screening, and loss of or damage to the screening
videos entered.
VIII. FINAL CLAUSES
1) Incidents not covered by this regulation will be reviewed by
the organizing committee of the festival, and their decision
will be autonomous.
VIII. DISPOSIÇÕES FINAIS
1) Os casos não previstos por este regulamento serão
analisados pela comissão organizadora do festival, sendo
sua decisão soberana.
