Renewable Energies
Portugal is a successful example when it comes to the generation of renewable energy.
Presently, around 52% of the country’s electricity is generated from renewable sources,
and the target for 2020, is around 60%. Major actions have been taken to reach this
goal, and therefore creating many new business opportunities within a wide range of
renewable and non-pollutant sources of energy. Currently, Portugal is home to the
world’s largest Photovoltaic Central within urban environment and the second largest
wind farm in Europe.

The Adega de Borba, is one of the oldest wine producers in the Alentejo region with over
59 years of experience in the production of wines and internationally recognized by
the quality of their wines.
Some of its most distinctive wines include the Adega de Borba DOC, one of the top selling
wines in Portugal within its segment; the iconic Adega de Borba Reserva “Cork Label”,
a brand which is over 50 years old and that is one of the most important brands from
the Alentejo region; the historical Montes Claros, a brand which dates back to 1945
and that was one of the first to be recognized by its outstanding quality in Portugal;
and, lastly, the recent range of single grape varietals under the Senses Brand.
In 2013, Adega de Borba´s wines have been awarded with 50 medals in national
and international competitions and it was awarded the best winery for the most important
wine magazine in Portugal.
The Adega de Borba is a committed company, whose first objective is to provide
its consumers with high-quality products. For that matter, it holds two certificates of quality:
ISO 9001:2000 and ISO: 22000:2005.
In 2011, an investment of 12,6 million euro was carried out in order to build a new winery
which is equipped with state-of-the-art technology.

The Port of Lisbon is a fine natural deepwater harbour located on the river tagus near
the atlantic coast in one of the best locations in europe for shipping, within the logistic
chains of international commerce and in the main cruise itineraries.
Lisbon is a multifunctional port handling a very wide range of commodities on both banks
of the river, including containers, breakbulk, dry and liquid bulks, occupying the 1st place
in the national ranking of solid bulk agricultural foodstuffs and cruise traffic. Also yachting
and river cruises are boosting in the port, and the ferry passengers that every day cross
the north and south bank of the river amounts to more than 24 million.
In what concerns the future the Port of Lisbon is committed to improving still further
its economic, cultural and social ties with the region which it serves and the local community,
through a constant improvement of the existing facilities and the development of new ones.
AJEPC (Young Businessmen Association Portugal-China) is a non-profit organization, very
active in both Portugal and China that envisioned a strategic cooperation developed
through the reinforcement of trade between both countries as well as by cultural
cooperation, creating investment conditions in Portugal and China.
AJEPC protects its Associates interests (Portuguese and Chinese) helping them to find
the best solution for each case and steering them for the new opportunities that emerge
every day.
Although recently created (August 2012), AJEPC is already one of the main players and
promoters of commercial relationships between the two countries.
Since the beginning of 2013 AJEPC has organized more than 500 trips of young
entrepreneurs from China to Portugal and from Portugal to China, participating, in 2013,
in over 36 exhibitions, business missions and events in both Portugal and China with
its Associates. In 2014, AJEPC has already organized 7 seminars in Portugal and 4 in China,
2 exhibitions and 2 business missions to China.
At the moment, AJEPC has about 130 Associates from different sectors such as renewable
energies, real estate, food products, agricultural and industrial sector among others.

The Portugal-China Chamber of Commerce & Industry (CCILC), founded in 1978, was

Our Company has been working for approximately 4 decades in the automotive industry,
making use of two production units located in Leça do Balio in Oporto (headquarters
and production plant) and in Palmela nearby Lisbon (highly automated production plant).
We dedicate our core business to the production of fibre reinforced composites (SMC)
as well as thermoplastic materials (D-LFT, G-LFT, GMT) for several industrial applications,

Our company was founded by MR. João Jacinto Tomé in 1950, as sole proprietorships.
In 1972, J. J. Tomé becomes a limited liability company, and was renamed as João Jacinto

On the other hand, it has increased it stake in maritime systems, and it has developed
skills concerning the offshore energy production systems. The group is also completed
with a renewable energy pioneer company - falconer - acquired in 2010, but with
more than 50 years of experience, with far more than 1.000 projects accomplished.
In 1889, Manuel Joaquim Pinto, who had already settled in Vila Nova de Gaia and possessed
some Porto wine warehouses, acquired several vineyards in the Douro Superior region
and set his wine production and transport activities in the village of Foz do Sabor. Later,
in 1932, he took part in the foundation of the Casa do Douro.
Those were happy days when hundreds of wine barrels were produced in the warehouses
and mills of the Casa da Palmeira, and then carried by ship to Vila Nova de Gaia.
Nowadays, four generations later, the Quinta de Vila Maior keeps on feeling the same
passion for the land and the wine. That is how they gave rise to first-quality DOC Douro
nectars, which have been enthusiastically welcomed by wine lovers.
It is in the Douro Superior region, site of one of the best known wines in the world, where
the Quinta de Vila Maior is located, with a total surface of 75 hectares.
It is placed in the Valley of Vilariça, close to the village of Foz do Sabor, 7 kilometres away
from Torre de Moncorvo, in the Bragança district, and some 15 km away from Vila Nova
de Foz Côa. Quinta de Vila Maior has the main Douro grape varieties:
• Touriga Franca,Tinta Roriz, Touriga Nacional, Tinta Barroca, Tinto Cão, Sousão.
The wines produced by Quinta de Vila Maior, with awards at International Wine Fairs,
are sold at the vineyard facilities and in both national and international wholesale shops.

TEMPLE Presentation Memorandum
A Portuguese group, to wich temple is part of has been for about five decades, carrying
out investments throughout several markets, namely in Portugal, Africa, North and South
America, and on Asian continent where it operates, fou about twenty years within the
scope of several investments.
Throughout the years, Temple has been intervening in aereas so diversified as the railway
constrution, agriculture, telecommunications, finance, real estate activities and roasting,
packing and distribution of coffee.
In the agriculture activity, TEMPLE's intervention has been noticed, particularly in Europe
where it has been responsible for the production and exportation of wine.
In the financing area, we emphasize that the group to which temple belongs integrates
the ownership, for about twenty years, of a real property funds management company,

companies in Portugal.
Really, the group owns for about thirty years the experience in this activity, having invested
in Brazil, Angola and Portugal where is presently responsible for large-scale projects, being
the promoter of more than one million of construction's square meters, only in Lisbon,
some of them in partnership with Portuguese government, as well as large-scale tourism
projects and quality located in the most aboard tourist area of Portugal, the Algarve.

Founded in 1972, ISCTE-University Institute of Lisbon is an innovative and proactive public

Founded in 1290, the University of Coimbra (UC) is the oldest University in Portugal

The University of Minho is a higher education founded in 1974, based in the northwest
zone of Portugal, in the cities of Braga and Guimarães.
Competitive research at international level, specializing in interdisciplinary areas, including
research aimed at resolution of the problems that affect society.
