The Alzir dos Santos Antunes
Hydroelectric Power Plant is the
first hydroelectric power plant
whole conceived, built and being
the property of the Engevix Group.
Having 74 MW of generation power, it is
located at the Passo Fundo River,
in Rio Grande do Sul State, and it
was built in a record period for
power plants of this size – 28
months of works; it has two
Francis type generating units, with
nominal power of 37 MW and 70
cu m/s of water swallowing.
Clamping dam of reinforced
concrete that has 420 m length
and maximum 80 m height, and a
side spillway of free threshold; it is
a symbol of the entrepreneurial
spirit of the Engevix Group.

The three aeolian electric
power plants, located at
Brotas de Macaúbas –
Bahia State, have
capacity for generating
90 MW. The total
planned investment is
the amount of R$ 395.8

Substations and Transmission Lines
Contract with AES Uruguaiana Empreendimentos to implant the substation of the Uruguaiana
Thermoelectric Power Plant (600 MW) and two transmission lines of 230 kV, interconnecting to the
Uruguaiana Substation (4.5 km) and to the Alegrete Substation (140.0 km) and all of the
interconnections with the Alegrete and Uruguaiana Substations. (1999)
Undertakings of SC Energia and RS Energia (Engevix - 10% equity interest):
Implantation of the Campos Novos-Blumenau transmission lines in 525 kVA, 375 km and the Campos
Novos-Santa Rita transmission lines in 525 kVA, 257 km, in a consortium with Schain Engenharia S/A.
ETAU - Empresa Transmissora do Alto Uruguai: Engevix implanted 187 km of transmission lines
interconnecting Campos Novos-Barra Grande-Lagoa Vermelha-Santa Marta, with tension of 230 kV.
BAESA - Barra Grande Energética: implantation of the Barra Grande Substation and its interconnection
lines with the Barra Grande Hydroelectric Power Plant and, for SC Energia, it implanted the Biguaçu
Sectioning Substation (525 kV).

accesses.

Inspection and Supervision of the Lot of Land 2 works, Southern Stretch of the
Mário Covas Highway Ring.

Management of the Development Program of the Sao Paulo City Strategic
Metropolitan Highway System, covering the Jacu-Pêssego Highway Complex,
the New Tietê City Boundary Highway, and the Recovery Programs for General
Highways and Neighbouring Highways of Sao Paulo, being funded by the InterAmerican Development Bank.

Recovery of the railway network of Santa Catarina State, hit by the floods, and

accidents involving sick leaves, was reached; it is a milestone for Engevix
and Petrobras.
