THE CITY OF INVESTMENT.
The city of Aparecida de Goiania is in the heart of Brazil, at
the metropolitan region of the capital of Goias state.
A CIDADE DO INVESTIMENTO.
With access to the two major highways in Brazil, the BR153 and BR-060, Aparecida is a strategic investment hub
thanks to the transportation logistic and its industrial park
– one of biggest ones in Goias.

no centro do país, na região metropolitana
da capital do estado de Goiás.
Bearing industrial vocation, the town is undergoing a phase
of huge economic development; its GDP jumped from 3.7
billion in 2008 to 7.4 billion in 2012 – an amazing 100%
increase of the Gross Domestic Product.
Com acesso à duas das maiores rodovias
do Brasil, BR-153 e BR-060, Aparecida é
um polo estratégico de investimentos, graças à
logística de transporte e ao seu parque industrial,
um dos maiores de Goiás.
And the economic power of Aparecida de Goiania residents
is also increasing, with an 86% increase on the per capita
income, which jumped from R$ 687 to R$ 1,200. “Today
Aparecida is ranked the 4th among the metropolitan cities
with highest power of consumption in Brazil”. Revista
Exame.
Com esta vocação industrial, o município vive
uma fase de grande desenvolvimento econômico,
com um PIB que saltou de 3,7 bilhões em 2008
para 7,4 bilhões em 2012, um crescimento
surpreendente de 100% no Produto Interno Bruto.
Além
da
cidade,
o
poder
econômico
dos aparecidenses também vem crescendo.
A renda per capita aumentou em 86%, saltando
de R$ 687 para R$ 1200. “Aparecida ocupa hoje
a 4a posição entre as cidades metropolitanas com
maior poder de consumo do país.” (Revista Exame).
Tais fatores, somados aos investimentos maciços
em educação e capacitação profissional, vêm
atraindo muitas indústrias de grande porte,
como a PepsiCo, UPS, Merck Sharp, BRFoods,
Hipermarcas e várias outras.

THE OPPORTUNITIES.
Location
The industrial logistic of Aparecida takes advantage of
the road network of the city with accesses to the BR-060
and the BR-153. This is the 4th biggest highway in Brazil,
nearly 4,300 km in length that crosses Aparecida de Goias
and connects the city to the North, South and Southeast
regions of Brazil.

A logística industrial de Aparecida é beneficiada
pela malha viária que integra a cidade, que
conta com acessos à BR-060 e à BR-153, quarta
maior rodovia do Brasil com cerca de 4.300 km,
que corta Aparecida de Goiânia e conecta a cidade
às regiões norte, sul e sudeste do país.
Aeroporto Executivo
Autorizada pela Agência Nacional de Aviação Civil
(ANAC), Aparecida receberá nos próximos meses
um Aeroporto Executivo, com capacidade para
atender toda a demanda da aviação executiva
do Estado, e contará com um moderno parque
de manutenção de aeronaves.

As authorized by the Brazilian Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC)
in the forthcoming months Aparecida will be furnished
with an Executive Airport, with capacity to meet all the
Goias State demand for executive aviation, and equipped
with a modern aircraft maintenance park.

A cidade vem crescendo de maneira progressiva,
e os números dos últimos 4 anos comprovam:
aumento de 209% no número de indústrias,
passando de 590 para 1.800; crescimento
de 146% no número de comércios e de 172%
na quantidade de empresas ativas; e ampliação
do número de agências bancárias em 173%, de 15
para 31 agências.
Aparecida receberá ainda, em um futuro breve,
um Parque Tecnológico e um Complexo Industrial
Metropolitano, além de mais dois polos industriais
com investimentos da iniciativa privada, um
polo de logística e dois polos micro, totalizando
uma área de 500 hectares.
The city is consistently growing as evidenced by the
figures for the last 4 years: 209% increase in the number
of industries that grew from 590 to 1,800; 146% increase
in the number of businesses and 172% in the number of
active corporations; and, 173% increase in the number
of bank branches, jumping from 15 to 31. Aparecida is
also scheduled to start hosting a Technological Park and
a Metropolitan Industrial Complex, additionally to two
industrial hubs supported by investments from the private
initiative, a logistic hub and two micro-businesses hubs,
adding up to 500 ha.

Asphalt
Since 2009 Aparecida local government has developed
the largest program of asphaltic paving and resurfacing
of roads ever carried out in the state, paving new roads in
several sectors and refurbishing most of the city’s road
network.

Basic Sanitation
The universalization of treated water supply as of 2016,
and of the sewerage collection and treatment system, in
up to 5 years, is already assured, providing more health
and better quality of life to the residents of Aparecida.

Housing
Aparecida reports one of the highest averages of contracts
under the program “My House, My Life” - a Federal
Government program to foster the building of housing units
to the population. Moreover, the local government aims to
deliver, as of 2016, 10 thousand housing units to low-income
families.
Moradia
Aparecida possui uma das maiores médias
de contratação no programa “Minha Casa. Minha
Vida”, um plano de incentivo do Governo Federal
para a construção de moradias à população. Além
disso, a Prefeitura tem como meta entregar, até
2016, 10 mil moradias para famílias de baixa renda.
Master Plan
The current government of Aparecida has promoted the
Master Plan re-structuring enabling the ordered growth of
the city, and facilitating development-oriented public policies
that benefit the whole population.
Recently, the city got its first planned neighborhood – Parque
América – which houses the Elmar Arantes Urbanized Park
– the largest leisure space open to the population.
Plano Diretor
A atual gestão de Aparecida vem promovendo
a reorganização do Plano Diretor, que faz com
que a cidade cresça de forma ordenada, facilitando
as políticas públicas de desenvolvimento e
beneficiando toda a população.
Additionally to it, the city shows other indicators of
development, like private investments to build a new
shopping mall at Independência Avenue, and the Goias
Space which is a structure that hosts the major cultural
events of the State.
Recentemente, a cidade recebeu seu primeiro
bairro planejado, o Parque América, que tem em
sua área o Parque Urbanizado Elmar Arantes,
mais um espaço de lazer aberto à população.
Além deste, a cidade demonstra mais sinais
de desenvolvimento, com investimentos privados
na construção de um novo shopping na Avenida
Independência e o Espaço Goiás, um ambiente
que já recebe os maiores eventos culturais do
Estado.
Eixos Estruturantes
Em parceria com o Banco de Desenvolvimento
da América Latina, a prefeitura de Aparecida
de Goiânia está investindo R$ 78 milhões na
construção de três eixos estruturantes que vão
melhorar a mobilidade da cidade.
As obras já estão em andamento e devem ficar
prontas em 2014.
O primeiro é o eixo NS-1, obra que beneficia a
região leste da cidade.
Com 13,5 km de extensão, o NS-1 liga o setor
Santa Luzia, partindo da Avenida Bela Vista, até o
complexo industrial da cidade, onde se localizam
Structuring Axes
In partnership with the Latin American Development Bank,
the local government of Aparecida de Goiania is investing
R$78 million to build three structuring axes to improve
mobility in the city.
o Distrito Industrial Municipal de Aparecida de
Goiânia (DIMAG) e o Distrito Agroindustrial de
Aparecida de Goiânia (DAIAG).
O segundo eixo será o NS-3, que ligará o centro
de Aparecida de Goiânia à Avenida São Paulo,
e, consequentemente, à capital. Será a primeira
conexão, rápida e direta entre as duas cidades,
sem a necessidade de passar pela BR-153.
Já o NS-5, o terceiro eixo estruturante, vai
conectar cinco grandes avenidas da região oeste
de Aparecida, ligando os bairros Hilda, Cidade
Vera Cruz, Jardim Helvécia, Cardoso 1 e 2 por uma
rotatória elíptica em torno do córrego Tamanduá.
Toda essa nova malha viária estará ligada ao Anel
Viário, dando maior fluidez ao trânsito.
O objetivo da prefeitura é que os eixos estruturantes
ofereçam tranquilidade e segurança aos
moradores, que precisam transitar diariamente
pela BR-153.

This first one is the NS-1 axis that benefits the east region
of the city.
With 13.5 km in length, the NS-1 connects the Santa Luzia
sector, starting at the Bela Vista Avenue, to the industrial
complex of the city that houses the Municipal Industrial
District of Aparecida de Goiania (Dimag) and the Agroindustrial District of Aparecida de Goiania (Daiag).
The second axis is the NS-3 that connects the center of
Aparecida de Goiania to São Paulo Avenue and, therefore,
to the capital. It will be the first quick and direct connection
between these cities, with no need for taking the BR-153.
The NS-5, in turn, is the structuring axis that will connect five
big avenues in the west region of Aparecida, connecting the
neighborhoods of Hilda, Cidade Vera Cruz, Jardim Helvécia,
and Cardoso 1 and 2 through an elliptical roundabout
surrounding the Tamanduá creek. The road network is
connected to the Ring Road improving the road traffic flow.
The structuring axes are intended to provide tranquility and
security for the residents who needs to take the BR-153
everyday.

Education
The establishment of several corporations and industries
in a short time required skilled labor force. To meet that
demand, the local government reinforced investments
in basic education, and partnered with higher education
institutions that are relevant to the social development and
professional capacity-building of Aparecida’s residents.
Educação
Com a instalação de muitas empresas e indústrias
em um curto espaço de tempo, exigindo força
de trabalho qualificada, a Prefeitura reforçou
os investimentos na educação básica e estabeleceu
novas parcerias com instituições de ensino
superior, importantes para o desenvolvimento
social e profissionalização dos aparecidenses.
IFG – Instituto Federal de Educação, Ciência
e Tecnologia: Instituição pública e gratuita que
tem como missão aumentar a oferta de vagas
e cursos de educação profissional. O IFG escolheu
Aparecida por reconhecer o crescimento da cidade,
segunda em número de habitantes no Estado,
e ter compromisso com o desenvolvimento
socioeconômico do município.
SENAI Dr. Celso Charuri – Serviço Nacional
de Aprendizagem Industrial: Aparecida ganhou, por
meio da parceria da Prefeitura com a Associação
Pró-Vida, uma escola que é referência nacional
em educação profissional e tecnologia industrial.
IFG – Federal Institute of Education, Science and
Technology: public and free institution that bears the
mission of increasing the offer of vacancies and courses
of vocational education. The IFG selected Aparecida for
its growth, for being ranked the 2nd in the state regarding
number of inhabitants, and for its commitment to the
socioeconomic development of the municipality.
Dr. Celso Charuri – SENAI – National Service for Industrial
Apprenticeship: through a partnership between the local
government and the Pró-Vida Association, Aparecida
gained a school that is a national reference in vocational
education and industrial technology.

profissionalizantes.
UFG – Federal University of Goias: public higher education
institution that will soon build a campus in Aparecida. The
new unit is already being tendered and is scheduled to
deliver several courses in the field of Engineering.

federal program of courses to qualify labor force.
UEG – Universidade Estadual de Goiás: Instituição
pública estadual de ensino superior, a UEG conta
com um campus em Aparecida de Goiânia, com
os cursos de Administração e Ciências Contábeis.
SINE – Sistema Nacional de Emprego:

Health
Medical care has exponentially improved in Aparecida in
the last five years. One of the highlights is the expansion
of the Health Units from 9 to 26 units. Moreover, the
implementation of the 24/7 SAMU (Mobile Urgency Care
Service) brought positive impacts on the quality of the
emergency health care.
Saúde
O atendimento em Aparecida vem melhorando
exponencialmente nos últimos cinco anos.
Um dos pontos de maior destaque é o aumento
dos números das Unidades de Saúde, de 9 para
26 unidades. Além disso, a implantação do SAMU
- Serviço de Atendimento Móvel de Urgência 24h,
também impactou positivamente na qualidade
dos atendimentos emergenciais.
