Synopisis
The starting point and the calendar of the national festivals. From January to
January, Brazil celebrates its history and ancestral rites. Behind such
adventures and misadventures, special invitees accept the challenge of
living the traditions and actually knowing Brazilian identity.
Fourteen traditional festivals comprise this calendar of Brazilian identity,
which mixes tradition and contemporaneity. Festival Folclórico de Parintins,
Bumba-meu-boi in Maranhão, Festa para Iemanjá in Salvador and Rio de
Janeiro, Samba Schools in São Paulo, Carnival in Bahia, Vaqueijadas in Rio
Grande do Norte, Festa do Peão in Barretos, June Festivals in the Northeast
region, Romarias in the Center-West and Northeast regions, Festa do Divino
in Minas Gerais, Festa de Reis in Sergipe, Cavalhada in Alagoas, Sírio de
Nazaré in Pará and Festa da Uva in Rio Grande do Sul.
Format
Life-style series with 28 minutes of production, in Portuguese.
Public
Our public seeks to know Brazil and its natural, historic and cultural
heritage.
Priority target-public: young people above the age of 16, from the
social classes A, B, C +, who have at least completed high-school
education.
Time Schedule
Filming and Photography: Already started. Pilot: April, 2014. Postproduction / Delivery: October, 2014
