RIACHUELO OPENS NEW STORE IN THE NORTHEAST
São Paulo, Brazil, April 27, 2006 - Guararapes Confecções – Lojas Riachuelo
[BOVESPA: GUAR3(ON); GUAR4(PN)] announces that yesterday opened a new Lojas Richuelo’s
store in Aracaju, Sergipe State, at Jardins Mall, one of the five largest mall in the northeast
region. This is our 78th department store in Brazil and our second in the State.
Having external access, the new store constructed area is 4,410 square meters, of which 3,470
m² correspond to the total sales area, divided between ground level and mezzanine. On the
opening day, it outperformed all the other stores of the group in terms of sales.
