É no meio do maravilhoso
Parque Natural da Arrábida…
… num cantinho com o mar no horizonte que vamos encontrar a Quinta do Rio,
uma estalagem, que começou, há muitos anos atrás, por ser uma quinta agrária,
até que na década de setenta se tornou numa atracção turística apesar de manter
a parte de cultivo e criação de animais, tais como cavalos com a implementação
da coudelaria de cavalos lusitanos “Quinta do Rio”.
Na Quinta do Rio encontrará um ambiente familiar que lhe vai permitir
ouvir o silêncio, descansar, ou mesmo divertir-se…
Com 34 quartos particulares com casa de banho privativa, uma cozinha divinal
onde pode saborear desde o melhor peixe da Costa Portuguesa às mais típicas
iguarias da zona, como são o Espadarte, a Caldeirada e o Arroz de Tamboril, não
fosse a Quinta do Rio estar inserida na região de Sesimbra, bem conhecida pela
sua actividade piscatória, já para não falar da doçaria onde se inclui um
maravilhoso Gelado de Morangos (cultivados na Quinta), a Tarte de Amêndoa, e a
Torta de Laranja, são tudo o que necessita para um fim-de-semana ou férias
diferentes!
Para além disso temos ainda para lhe oferecer o ambiente certo e espaços
adequados para a organização dos mais variados eventos e festas especiais, na
plenitude do campo.
A Quinta do Rio possui uma vasta área, cerca de 73 hectares, na qual se pode
imaginar a fazer passeios pedestres, passeios a cavalo, usufruir da piscina com
vista para a Serra da Arrábida, observar a vinha, fazer uma partida de minigolfe,
futebol, ou de ténis. Pode ainda usufruir das Praias mais próximas, como é o
Portinho da Arrábida, a Praia do Meco, ou mesmo a Praia de Sesimbra. Ou então
porque não organizar um jogo de Paintball, e fazer os mais variados jogos radicais
dentro do espaço da Quinta?!
Mais ainda, bem perto fica Azeitão, que deu nome a um dos mais celebrados e
apreciados queijos de Portugal, e onde se situa a famosa cooperativa José Maria
da Fonseca, e se podem apreciar as Tortas e Esses de Azeitão que marcam a
doçaria daquela região.

...close to the sea that’s where we find the Quinta do Rio, a boarding house that
began, many years ago, as an agrarian farm, until in the decade of seventy it
became a tourist attraction while always maintaining the part of crop growing
and animal raising, such as horses with the implementation of the “ Quinta do Rio”
Lusitano horse dude-ranch.
In the Quinta do Rio you will find a familiar environment that allows you to
hear silence, to rest, or to just have fun...
Quinta do Rio presents 34 rooms with a privative bathroom, a divine cousine
where you can relish the best fish of the Portuguese Coast such as the Swordfish,
the Fish Stew and the Rice of Monk Fish, were not the Quinta do Rio located in the
region of Sesimbra, well known for its fishing habits. You can also taste delicious
sweets, such as the wonderful Strawberry ice cream (with strawberries grown in
the Quinta do Rio), the Almond and Orange Pie, it’s all that you’ll need for an
original and different type of weekend or vacation.
Besides all of this we also have to offer the appropriate space and environment for
the organizing of events and special parties, surrounded by the richness and
plenty of farm’s fields.

Natural Park of Arrábida...
The Quinta do Rio possess a vast area, about 73 acres, where you can imagine
yourself taking long strolls on foot or horseback, taking a dip and enjoining our
magnificent poll with a great view of the Arrábida mountain range, observing the
vineyard or playing a game of mini-golf, soccer or tennis. You many also enjoy and
take pleasure in discovering the many Beaches near the farm, such as the Portinho
of Arrábida, the Beach of Meco, or even the Beach of Sesimbra. Why note
organize a game of Paintball, or practice various radical activities in the enormous
area that Quinta do Rio has to offer?!
There’s even more!! Close to Azeitão, the land that gave it’s name to one of the
most famous and appreciated cheeses of Portugal, and the well known cooperative of José Maria da Fonseca, where you can taste the rolls and “Esses” of Azeitão
wich mark and represent the sweetness of that entire region.
Located only 50 km from Lisbon, between the region of Sesimbra and Setúbal, we
most certainly have everything that your imagination can think of.

... die Quinta do Rio mit dem einzigartigen Meer im Hintergrund, ist ein Gasthaus,
das vor vielen Jahren zunächst ein Landgut war, um dann in den Siebziger Jahren
zu einer touristischen Attraktion zu werden. Trotzdem wurde die Zucht und Pflege
von Tieren weitergeführt, wie z.B. die berühmte Pferdezucht der Lusitanier
”Quinta do Rio”.
In der Quinta do Rio finden sie eine familiäre Atmosphäre vor, in der sie die
Stille geniessen, sich ausruhen oder sich einfach vergnügen können...
Die 34 Zimmer verfügen alle über ein eigenes Bad. Die göttliche Küche, bietet
ihnen den besten Fisch der ganzen portugiesischen Küste, lokale Leckerbissen wie
den Sägefisch, den Fischeintopf oder den Stachelrochen mit Reis.
Die Quinta liegt in der Region von Sesimbra, die bekannt ist für ihre Fischerei.
Kosten sollten sie auch die Süßspeisen, wie z.B. das leckere Erdbeereis (mit
Erdbeeren, die auf der Quinta gezüchtet wurden), den Mandelkuchen oder die
Orangentorte – was braucht es mehr für ein Wochenende oder Ferien der
speziellen Art!
Außerdem verfügen wir über das ideale Ambiente und den großzügigen Rahmen
für die Ausrichtung besonderer Anlässe und Festlichleiten jeglicher Art, inmitten
der herrlichen Natur.
Die Quinta do Rio ist umgeben von einem weitläufigen Gebiet mit ca. 73 Hektar,
das zum Wandern oder zum Ausreiten einlädt. Oder sie können den SwimmingPool mit Sicht über die Serra da Arrábida geniessen, die Weinberge betrachten
oder eine Partie Mini-Golf spielen, ein Fußball – oder Tennismatch bestreiten.
Zudem laden die Strände zum Verweilen ein, wie jene von Portinho da Arrábida,
von Meco oder sogar der Strand von Sesimbra. Oder warum nicht eine Partie
Paintball organisieren oder an einer der vielen Extremsportarten der Quinta
teilnehmen?!
Und schlussendlich befindet sich die Ortschaft Azeitão in unmittelbarer Nähe,
welche ihren Namen einem der bekanntesten und beliebtesten Käse Portugals
vermacht hat. Hier befindet sich auch die bekannte Weinkooperative José Maria
Fonseca. Außerdem können sie die Süßigkeiten dieser Region, wie den Kuchen von
Azeitão, schätzen lernen.
