Our school comprises all levels of education, from kindergarten to secondary

As said before our school has all levels of education. In the Secondary level we
have Sciences, Arts and Humanities. We also have students with special
needs, integrated in normal classes.

We would like to have a creative, motivating and easy-going trainee that gets
along well with teenagers, but also with smaller children. It’s also important
that he/she has knowledge of the use of ICT in class.
So, the presence of a foreign trainee in our school is of main importance,
because it provides students with more interest and motivation not only in
normal classes, but also in extracurricular activities. It is also an added value
for all the school community that has the chance to get to know another
culture, another way of life and learn with it. From our experience with
Comenius Assistants, we have experienced a bigger interest and motivation
not only in classes, but also in other school activities by the students.
The trainee will be mainly involved in the teaching of foreign languages in a
multidisciplinary perspective, as far as possible. He/ She will also have an
important role in the linguistic preparation of the students and staff involved
in European Projects (Comenius, now, and Erasmus +), as well as with
students with learning difficulties and with special needs.
The trainee will be supervised by an experienced teacher, who will accompany
and monitor his/ her activities in school as well as outside school. All the
activities carried out by the trainee will be divulged in school and also in the
local community.
The trainee will have the opportunity to teach his/her mother tongue and
divulge his/her culture, so that all school community can get the most of the
trainee’s presence. All the trainee’s activities will be included in the School
Annual Activities Plan.
The trainee could also attend a Portuguese Course for Foreigners either in a
nearby school or at Coimbra’s University.
The trainee will be asked to help in the teaching of English, to promote extra-
PLANO DE curricular activities, mainly presentations and exhibitions about his/her
ESTÁGIO ERASMUS country and culture, do workshops with students in the areas where he/she
feels more comfortable in (i.e. arts and crafts, cooking, reading, writing,
drama and others).
The trainee will be mainly involved in the secondary level of education (15-17
years old), however, he/she could also attend and do some work with the
ERASMUS pupils from primary education in the area of English, if he/she has interest in
PLACEMENT PLAN it and wants to develop some kind of activities with them, as the teacher that
