The “Baixo Suíça” falls in revelry - Government of Switzerland continues its
communication campaign in Brazil with the launch of SWISSAMBA Switzerland in Rio Carnival 2015
Continued Swissando - The Communication Campaign in Switzerland Brazil launched its
first project with great success, The Swissando during the 2014 World Cup. Expectations
of increasing the visibility of Switzerland in Brazil were conquered with great mastery.
The headquarters of Switzerland was voted as the best PublicViewing Cup in Rio de
Janeiro, with the addition of thousands of Brazilians and other nationalities through the
excitement of football. And in the biggest sports party of the Planet - the World Cup Switzerland showed it has the greatest synergy with Brazil, while there exist the Alps,
here there are the mountains and the hills, there exist the lakes, here there are the ponds,
the rivers and the beaches.
With the aim of promoting Switzerland's image in a long-term communications in Brazil,
held a partnership with the largest cultural platform in 2015: THE CARNIVAL. Now the
slogan is Swissamba. In partnership with the samba school champion this year, Unidos da
Tijuca, the plot for 2015 - "A tale marked in time - The Swiss look from Clovis Bornay" will
honor, with the plot, the country of precision, technology and innovation in a surprising
hang, in a way never seen before. Day 18 (Saturday) October - presentation of the project.
The Project - In 2015, Unidos da Tijuca plot will be based on Swiss culture - "A Tale Marked
in Time" - (narrated on the precision, technology, tale, luxury and time) in the largest
Brazilian cultural event. The champion samba school of Rio's Carnival will put in evidence
the history and culture of the country in synergy with the Brazilian population through an
opera popular developed after long research conducted in Brazil and Switzerland. The
theme was developed from concepts studied in sequence: time, innovation, technology
and luxury.
From this research, the artistic commission found the figurehead of Clovis Bornay,
innovative, revolutionary and, above all, an icon of Rio carnival. Son of Swiss jeweler, one
of the first immigrants to Nova Friburgo (considered one of the largest colonies of Swiss
in Brazil), Clovis is the thread that tells a playful way this story, who will speak of luxury
and innovation and finally the link between Switzerland and the Unidos da Tijuca in the
plot: "A tale marked in time - The Swiss look from Clovis Bornay".

“Since when discovered, in research, that Switzerland had everything to do with what we
wanted to develop in the plot, we at the Department of Carnival were very happy by the
fact that although Switzerland is one small country, it is grand in culture, tradition and
history, fundamental elements to develop a good plot.
We traveled to Switzerland to research, and find a much more beautiful and interesting
country we knew.
Switzerland is inspiring. In every city there is a story, a legend, and all that aroused the
interest and the passion of all members of the Department of Carnival around the
country.
The research trip was very productive and provided us a lot of knowledge, details and
precious information to improve the parade”, echoes the Department of Carnival,
represented by Mauro Quintaes, Annik Salmon, Hélcio Paim, Paul Marcus and Carlos
Carvalho.
In short, the school Unidos da Tijuca and Switzerland are all about, because the success of
both is rooted in creativity and innovation. With much joy and originality, trademarks of
the great Clovis Bornay, and more innovation, technology, and tradition, marks the school
and Switzerland, the Golden Pavilion and peacock blue school closes the parade of Samba
Schools in the Special Group on Monday, February 16.
Switzerland at the 2015 Carnival – The tribute was embraced by the Government of
Switzerland, which contributes to promotion of research, in which the entire staff of the
school carnival and marketing department was able to visit various parts of the country.
Not to mention the exchange that is being done since last year, when the subject was
decided and reached the Swiss precision and technology.
Finally, the event of the Carnival 2015 will be the pillar project of the communication
campaign - House of Switzerland, which started this year with the 2014 FIFA WORLD CUP
BRAZIL, project in which the word order was "SWISSAR", and will run with a set of
relevant actions until the Olympics in 2016. Besides promoting the culture, the event aims
to increase political and economic exchange between the two countries - one of the goals
of this campaign is to increase the visibility of Swiss companies in Brazil. The project seeks
to strengthen the country's image, enhance the activities of networking and
collaboration in economy, tourism, culture, technology and innovation with Brazil.
Launch - Starting October 18, the main point to swissar in Rio de Janeiro will be the court
"SWISSAMBA" Unidos da Tijuca where we swissambar stimulated by the battery of the
School of Samba Champion and delight us the marvels prepared by our Swiss chef. The
visitor will have an immersion in the Swiss-Brazilian cultural synergy through a real train,
symbol of time, technology and Swiss punctuality, and of course, they will not miss
“carnavalizadas” Swiss cows and other surprises in the new court SWISSAMBA.
