para a Ciência e Tecnologia, Portugal. Soares applied for funding individually and participates as postdoctoral fellow since 2010 at the Department of Mathematics of Instituto Superior Técnico, Lisboa,
Portugal.
3) “Models and methods for degradable materials” by the Italian Institute of Technology. Soares participated
as post doctoral fellow in 2009 at the Deparment of Mathematics of Politecnico di Milano, Italy.
4) “Stented Artery Wall Stresses and Restenosis”. PI: James E. Moore Jr. NIH (R01). Goal: Quantify the
stresses in a stented artery wall in different stent designs and evaluate the inflammatory responses of each in
an animal model. Soares participation was graduate research assistant at the Department of Biomedical
Engineering at Texas A&M University for 2004-2008.
