RS:X sailorstotakepart in the 2015 RS:X Rio de Janeiro Cup.
1. RULES
1.1 The Event will be governed by the ISAF Racing Rules of Sailing
1.2 If there is confict of languages, English will prevail.
2. ENTRY AND ELIGIBILITY
All RS:X sailors are welcome.
3. VENUE
The event Will take place on Iate Clube do Rio de Janeiro, Av. Pasteur 333, Praia Vermelha, Urca – Rio de Janeiro

4. EQUIPMENT
4.1 As per RRS 78.1, competitors are reminded that they are responsible for making sure that their equipment
complies with class rules at all times.
4.2 While on shore, sailors are required to keep their equipment at assigned places in the Iate Clube do Rio
de Janeiro.
5. REGISTRATION
Registration will start on February 21 at the Iate Clube do Rio de Janeiro.
6. ENTRY FEES
The entry fee for Men and Women is R$ 260.00. There will be no entry fee for sailors in Youth categories.

8. EVENT
8.1
The Event shall be a single discipline course racing event.The event consists of a Single Series.
8.2
There will be two Divisions:
a. Division (A) – Men.
b. Division (B) – Women/Youth Boys and Girls.
8.3
Racing:
Division (A) - Men and Division (B) – Women/Youth Boys and Girls shall race separately, each
Divisionracing a maximum 12 races over 4 days.
8.4
A minimum of 3 races is required for a valid Championship in any Division.
9. RACING AREA
Racing will take place on the Flamengo and Naval Academy Courses, Guanabara Bay.
10. COACH AND SUPPORT BOATS
Coach and Support Boat are required to register at the race office at the IateClube do Rio de Janeiro and pay a
fee of US$25.
11. SCORING
11.1 Scoring will be in accordance with RRS Appendix B and using rule B 8.3a "Low Points Scoring System".
11.2 Each Division shall be scored separately. Youth categories will be scored by simple extraction of the
Division (B) scores.
12. PRIZES
Prizes will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd and 3rdplaced sailor of each category.
13. RISK
Sailors are invited to race at their own risk, according to RRS 4, the IateClube do Rio de Janeiro and organizers
arenot responsible for any injuries and damages or for equipment left out of the assigned areas.
